Tommy Hui

Tommy is a professional field ecologist with considerable knowledge and over 10 years of hands-on experience in local biodiversity, ecological baseline survey and impact assessment, as well as terrestrial habitat management and ecological enhancement. Tommy has a deep understanding on ecologically sensitive areas in Hong Kong, and is familiar with local flora and fauna in the terrestrial context, with particular expertise in mammals, butterflies, odonates, herpetofauna, and aquatic (freshwater and estuarine) communities. He is also familiar with a wide range of techniques for ecological field surveys and samplings. In aec, Tommy plays a key role in a leading and managing ecological baseline surveys and impact assessments. Notable projects he has taken part in include the ecological surveys for the Study on Artificial Islands in the Central Waters, Ecological Study on Development of the Periphery of Country Parks, the Feasibility Study on San Tin / Lok Ma Chau Development Node, the HK2030+ study, and the Feasibility Study on developing the New Territories North.
